We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager – Electronics to serve as the single point of contact between our Berlin factory and the global electronics sourcing team in the US. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the global commodity owners in the US to oversee the day-to-day electronics supply chain operations, drive local sourcing initiatives for electronic parts, and manage critical supplier escalations and crisis resolutions. Your strategic leadership and hands-on approach will ensure operational excellence and continuity for Tesla’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Global Liaison: Act as the primary interface between the Berlin factory and the global electronics sourcing team in the US, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on sourcing strategies and supply chain operations
  • Supply Chain Operations: Coordinate end-to-end electronics supply chain operations, from planning and procurement to execution and performance monitoring, ensuring reliability and cost-efficiency for the Berlin factory
  • Local Sourcing Development: Develop and implement local sourcing strategies for electronic parts to enhance supply chain resilience, reduce lead times, and support regional operational goals
  • Supplier Management & Escalation: Lead supplier relationship management including performance reviews, risk assessments, and handling of escalations. Proactively resolve supplier issues and mitigate potential disruptions
  • Crisis Resolution: Spearhead crisis management initiatives, quickly identifying and resolving supply chain disruptions to maintain production continuity
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and implement best practices
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with Tesla’s broader business objectives and support rapid scaling of production capabilities. Ensure supplier capacity planning meets business demand efficiently
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytical tools and metrics to monitor supply chain performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the electronics or high-tech manufacturing sectors, with a proven track record in managing complex, global supply chains
  • Deep understanding of electronics supply chain dynamics, sourcing strategies, and supplier risk management
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing high-stakes supplier relationships in a global environment. Mentor junior SCMs as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a history of effectively managing supplier escalations and resolving crises under pressure
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement
