Job Description
The Global Logistics Control Tower Manager serves as the central command function for global logistics operations. This role is responsible for building and operating end-to-end dashboards, defining metrics, and conducting daily monitoring across transportation, warehousing, importation, outbound deployment, decommissioning, and RMA execution.
The role proactively identifies operational risks, performance deviations, and execution gaps, and drives early warning, escalation, and corrective actions in close partnership with regional logistics, 3PLs, and cross-functional stakeholders. This position works closely with the Global Logistics Lead and plays a critical role in improving reliability, visibility, and resilience of global logistics operations.
What you will be doing:
- Global Logistics Control Tower Operations: establish and operate a global logistics control tower covering inbound, outbound, deployment, decommissioning, and RMA flows, while monitoring transportation, warehousing, and customs activities daily to identify delays, risks, and exceptions as the first line of operational risk detection.
- Dashboard & Metrics Development: Design, build, and enhance internal dashboards to provide real-time, actionable visibility and standardize global logistics KPIs—such as lead time, on-time delivery, customs clearance, inventory accuracy, aging, damage/loss, and RMA cycle time—ensuring metrics support both operational execution and decision-making.
- Risk Identification & Proactive Management: Proactively identify risks across transportation, warehouse capacity, customs clearance, outbound deployment, decommissioning, and RMA processes, and trigger early warnings, escalations, and follow-ups with relevant teams.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze operational data to identify trends and root causes, provide actionable recommendations and improvement plans, and support post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional & 3PL Collaboration: work closely with various cross-functional teams to support governance routines and interface with 3PLs and LSPs to ensure performance and SLA compliance.
