Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear is offering a unique opportunity for experienced Supply Chain Professional to work within the UK Civil Nuclear Programme.

Rolls-Royce together secured contracts to support the development & supply of UDG installations as part of the development of the Hinckley Point C Reactor programme working with EDF and its partners including NNB. This is an exciting programme to work closely with a cross functional team at RR and with our client on a 4--5 year contracted programme.

The position is primarily based at the RR Derby Site, but due to the nature and locations of the Civil Nuclear Teams & Supply Chain there will be a requirement for some planned travel.

What you will be doing:

You will be reporting to the PMO Manager, and you will be responsible for :

  • Preparing, maintaining & summarising schedules of activities and events of projects, taking account of dependencies and financial milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with & optimum application of Purchasing processes, tools & resources and Ensure delivery of Project & Purchase supply chain goals for the programme.
  • Accountable for securing Purchase commitment to the project business plan and responsible for ensuring that Purchase resource is provisioned accordingly.
  • Responsible for the effective day to day supplier relationship management and operational performance of partners and suppliers
  • Support the programme management and execution of sourcing activities, to meet the internal and external stakeholder requirements for current and future programmes.
  • Responsible for the quality and delivery performance of the external supply chain and the resolution of any performance related issues
  • Ensure Project and Customer compliance to Purchase processes and procedures.
  • Ensure your own compliance to the company and / or professional certification code of ethics.

Position Qualifications:

  • BA Degree or equivalent or significant relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of Purchasing Strategy, Policies & Processes
  • Knowledge of Project Management processes, tools and techniques
  • A proven track record in delivering results
  • Possesses the flexibility to respond to uncertain or ambiguous situations with a minimum of stress
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
  • Skilled at various influence tactics
  • Good communicator – experience working with customers

For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.
