We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Supply Chain Manager to lead all procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management activities within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of raw materials and components required to support production while driving supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing aerospace supply chains, developing dual-source strategies for critical materials, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations through effective sourcing, inventory optimization, freight management, and supplier quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all procurement and supply chain activities for aerospace wire and cable manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that establish dual-source supply for critical materials and services to mitigate risk and improve supply continuity.
  • Manage procurement of raw materials including bare wire, metals, compounds, tapes, braids, and other production-critical components.
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities while achieving annual purchase price variance (PPV) and supplier performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements related to supplier management, material traceability, certifications, and externally provided products and services.
  • Review and maintain material certifications, test reports, and related documentation to support aerospace quality and traceability requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels and planning activities for high-value and long-lead-time materials, balancing customer demand, production requirements, and working capital objectives.
  • Oversee transportation and logistics operations, including LTL, parcel, expedited, and specialty freight shipments.
  • Optimize carrier utilization and freight spending through strategic carrier selection, best-value transportation solutions, and logistics performance analysis.
  • Lead supplier development initiatives, supplier audits, and performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
  • Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Planning teams to resolve supplier quality issues and material shortages.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier nonconformances, delivery issues, and quality concerns.
  • Support outside processing requirements, including heat treating, plating, coating, chemical processing, and other specialized aerospace services.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing, inventory planning, supplier performance, and procurement analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or logistics leadership experience within aerospace, wire and cable manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
  • Experience sourcing and managing long-lead-time raw materials including copper, nickel, aluminum, Inconel, stainless steel, and other aerospace-grade metals.
  • Proven experience developing supplier strategies, dual-source programs, and supplier performance management processes.
  • Strong background in inventory optimization, demand planning, and procurement cost management.
  • Experience managing freight, transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading supplier corrective actions and resolving complex supply chain challenges.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting aerospace wire, cable, harness, or electrical component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Nadcap-approved special process suppliers and outside processing management.
  • Familiarity with heavy freight transportation, industrial packaging, and material handling requirements.
  • APICS/ASCM, CSCP, CPSM, or similar professional certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Reliable material availability supporting production and customer delivery commitments.
  • Reduced supply chain risk through implementation of robust dual-source strategies.
  • Achievement of annual cost savings and PPV reduction targets.
  • Improved supplier quality, delivery, and responsiveness metrics.
  • Optimized inventory levels and working capital performance.
  • Full compliance with aerospace quality and traceability requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment and enjoys driving strategic sourcing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
