What You’ll Do
As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee materials planning, procurement, inventory management, supplier coordination, and supply chain initiatives that support production needs and business objectives. You will partner with production, quality, engineering, finance, suppliers, and other stakeholders to align material availability with operational priorities, improve communication, and support continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, automation, ERP-related initiatives, and supply chain best practices.
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, risks, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and implement mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
- Lead sourcing activities to select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and business requirements.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements and monitor vendor performance to ensure reliable materials supply.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing carrying costs.
- Lead demand planning and partner with production, quality, engineering, and finance teams to align materials planning with production schedules and business needs.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing to support timely, effective decision-making.
- Improve materials management processes, tools, and best practices to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply lean manufacturing, automation, and ERP-related improvements where appropriate to support operational excellence.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain, materials management, procurement, inventory management, scheduling, logistics, or manufacturing operations experience required.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP systems, materials management tools, automation, and related process improvements. Experience supporting ERP implementation or optimization is a plus.
- Experience using Power BI or similar data analysis and visualization tools to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, supporting team performance, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results under deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, cost-effective execution, and key performance metrics.
- Vendor management experience, including purchase order delivery, performance follow-up, and contract initiation preferred.
- Inventory management, fulfillment, shipping, scheduling, and international logistics experience, including knowledge of import/export regulations.
- APICS, PMP, CPSM, or other relevant supply chain/project management certifications preferred.
