Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure high levels of customer fulfilment, operational efficiency, and cost competitiveness. The role oversees key functions including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier management, while ensuring compliance with both global standards and local regulatory requirements. In addition, the position drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports business growth, and ensures alignment of local supply chain strategies with the overall objectives of the Endress+Hauser Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and coach the Supply Chain team to build capabilities, drive performance, and support succession planning.
  • Oversee and manage the supply chain organization, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and planning functions.
  • Provide strategic direction on supply chain network optimization, inventory strategy, and sourcing models.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies in alignment with business and Group objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end processes from quotation to delivery, invoicing.
  • Ensure high customer delivery performance, quality and accuracy of order processing, and service excellence.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, evaluation, performance monitoring, and development.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively across projects and daily business operations.
  • Oversee logistics operations, including air, sea freight, project logistics, and special cargo handling (e.g. DG, oversized cargo).

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Project, Service, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with global Endress+Hauser supply chain network and corporate functions.
  • Champion digitalization initiatives, including SAP optimization, reporting enhancements, and process automation to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • Support project execution teams on logistics planning for MRO, solutions, and large export projects.

Cost Optimization:

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives across procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers and logistics service providers (LSPs).
  • Own and drive supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery performance, inventory turnover , cost efficiency, and service level performance

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including supplier disruptions, logistics delays, and regulatory constraints.
  • Manage supply chain contingencies and ensure business continuity plans are in place.
  • Monitor global trade risks such as embargoes, restricted goods (e.g. GTS blocks), and project-specific logistical risks.
  • Strengthen supply chain resilience through proactive risk assessment, alternative sourcing strategies, and contingency planning.

Compliance & Documentation :

  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, HS code classification, Incoterms, and licensing requirements.
  • Manage import/export documentation, permits, and dangerous goods handling processes.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, legal, safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate SAP master data, reporting, and documentation for supply chain activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve process efficiency, digitalization, and automation (e.g. SAP, reporting tools).
  • Lead capability development and training of supply chain team members.
