At Mundipharma, we are proud of the work we do to bring innovative treatments to patients. We challenge ourselves constantly to deliver more for patients, healthcare professionals, our partners, and our employees.

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Supply Chain Manager AT/CH to lead end‑to‑end supply chain activities for Austria and Switzerland during a maternity leave cover.

This role is suited for someone with a growth mindset, who is curious, pragmatic, and solution‑oriented, and who enjoys being close to the operation. You will be expected to actively engage in planning, analysis, and issue resolution, while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and collaboration.

Based in Vienna, you will work closely with Commercial, Finance, Customer Fulfilment, and Global Supply Chain teams, and play a key role in ensuring reliable product supply, high service levels, and full regulatory compliance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead Supply Chain operations for Austria and Switzerland, including demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, inventory management, country logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Own the monthly demand review process, aligning Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain on forecasts and supply plans.

  • Analyze and consolidate monthly demand and supply reports, identifying risks and mitigation actions.

  • Lead supply planning for new product launches within your area of responsibility.

  • Oversee third‑party logistics providers (3PLs), reviewing performance KPIs to ensure service and cost targets are met.

  • Manage locally sourced products and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Ensure customer expectations are met while optimizing cost and working capital.

  • Monitor inventory and backorders and collaborate with central teams through the S&OE process.

  • Communicate supply plans and potential disruptions to cluster commercial leadership.

  • Maintain oversight of narcotic and psychotropic products, including monitoring sales patterns and statutory reporting to authorities.

  • Ensure GDP compliance, including maintenance of SOPs and controlled documents.

  • Manage out‑of‑stock notifications, import/export authorizations, and legally required security stock levels in Austria and Switzerland.

  • Fulfil all other statutory and regulatory reporting related to supply chain activities.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain operations within a regulated industry (pharma experience is a strong advantage).

  • APICS, PE or similar certification.

  • Strong knowledge of demand and supply planning, inventory management, and logistics operations.

  • Fluent English and German (both required).

  • Curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo, combined with a pragmatic, hands‑on mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Solid business and financial acumen.

  • Proven ability to lead change and work effectively in cross‑functional, multicultural environments.

Why join us

  • High‑impact regional role covering two strategic markets.

  • Strong visibility and collaboration across commercial, finance, and global supply chain teams.

  • Opportunity to deepen expertise in pharma supply chain and regulatory operations.

  • Collaborative, inclusive and international working environment based in Vienna.

  • Opportunities for learning & development through our varied programme
