Cosasco is looking for aSupply ChainManager todevelopand implement a supply chain strategy that maximizes customer satisfactionthroughon timedelivery, lead time and quality metrics,reduces inventory, and delivers the lowest total landed costYou will lead and manage purchasing and planning functions, research product availability, delivery dates and pricing, coordinate the prioritization of supplier demand,andcommunicate production delays as needed. Analyze our current buying and planning processes and create the best methods for day-to-day operationsInteract with various internal departments to supporttimelycustomer order shipments and withexternalsuppliersfor inventory and cost controls.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct Reports: TwoBuyers,OneProductionPlanner

  • Establish and implementplanning and purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Monitor ongoing compliance withplanning andpurchasingpolicies andprocedures.

  • Monitor and reduce purchase variances to meet profitobjectives

  • Oversee the operations and daily activities of the purchasingand planningdepartment.

  • Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs, and deliveryperformance.

  • Manage, develop, and motivateteam.

  • Direct continuous improvement of processes in line with changing organizational needs and marketconditions.

  • Develop,monitorand manageKPI’s for suppliersin alignment with QDC targetsSupplier Defect Rate,OTD, Cost Savings, Cost of Inventory / Stock Turns

  • Develop,monitorand manageKPIs for teamin alignment with QDC targets– Jobs released on time, Purchases placed on time,Number ofUnconfirmedpurchase orders, Purchase Price Variance

  • Support development of contract manufacturing partners in Americas

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PrincipleResponsibilities:

  • Oversees and coordinates with suppliers and other departments to ensure and verify product specifications, availability,pricing,and delivery dates.

  • Direct procurement policies to ensure all items arepurchasedand delivered within budget and time constraints.

  • Develop and manage a cost-out funnelfrom ideation to execution to achievelowesttotal cost of ownership.

  • Develop, negotiate, and administerpurchasingagreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational requirements. Negotiateadvantageousterms.

  • Drive increasing inventory turns, reduced cycles, and improved customer OTD by developing,implementing,and managing pull-based replenishment processes including but not limited to Kanban, VMI, and Supplier Consigned inventory.

  • Maintain awarenessof world markets and emerging material orlogisticsrelated issues in the industry and positionthe supply chain to flexibly respond accordingly.

  • Continually assesses risk of supply chain and identifies& implementsapproaches to reduce risk.

  • Manage supplier selectionprocessbased on price, quality, support,capacity,andreliability.

  • Supportsupplierqualification and approval process

  • Provide effective support to new product introduction teams, proposal development, and subcontracting opportunities as they develop.

  • Develop andmaintainstrategic relationships with key suppliers

  • Establish and update an approved supplierdatabase.

  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitutematerials.

  • FullyutilizeEpicor MRP system to plan purchases and trackperformance.

  • Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers

  • Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment

  • Proficient with MicrosoftOffice applications

  • Financial& businessacumen

Education and Experience:

  • College degree in business, materials management, supply chain or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in purchasing andplanning in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years’ supervisory experience

  • Working knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contracts

  • Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems

  • Knowledge of project specific execution will be an added advantage

Work Conditions andPhysical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Flexible schedule, including some weekend hours

  • Must be able toliftupto 15 pounds at times

  • Some travel may berequired, up to 20%
