The Supply Chain Manager Mexico is responsible for managing all supply chain means in the country, directly or in collaboration with other functions, to deliver safe, responsive, and reliable service at optimal cost. The role supports the regional supply chain strategy through excellent in‑country implementation to achieve performance targets and ensure deployment of key projects across Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all warehousing, logistics, and transportation means of the country to achieve service level, lead‑time targets and comply with company SHE policies.
  • Plan, recommend, and supervise transportation to move goods from the ship point to the destination as well as manage import customs brokerage operations to ensure full compliance with trade compliance activities (COO, harmonized tariff codes, customs valuation).
  • Monitor the budget and operational performance of selected carriers and propose improvement plans when required.
  • Address Mexico customs‑related questions when required and manage 3rd‑party warehouse budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales Management and other functions (Customer Service, Planning, etc.) to propose and implement continuous improvement projects related to transport, warehousing, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines applicable to transportation, including documentation, keeping, and required training (IATA, etc.).
  • Provide regular reporting as requested by the Regional Logistics Manager as well as ad‑hoc local support for procurement (e.g., drums: forecasts, POs, exports follow‑up).
  • Manage 3rd‑party toller outbound flows: logistics coordination with outbound carriers and export customs.

Required skills and experience

  • 7+ years of experience working within supply chain activities with at least 3 years in supply chain management.
  • Spanish / English fluency
  • Experience with transportation (multimodal) is mandatory
  • Hazmat handling experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (SD, MM modules) preferred; Oracle or other ERP experience could be acceptable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree finished; Logistics, Supply chain and trade would be a plus but, professionals in other area with strong experience in supply chain are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and other regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Positive results oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, business units, customer service and other support areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking and computer skills.
