Job Description Summary

Intern will support in the manufacturing area of control panel manufacturing in different process stages (materials picking, assembly, wiring, conductivity and hipot verification). His/her main contact will be with the production managers and production along with operators and subcontractors.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support production´s team with data collection in the planning and execution of production´s plan.
  • Support production´s team to review status of production orders that have been launched in the different manufacturing stages.
  • Support production´s team to review information introduced by production´s people in the ERP or MES (SAP and Gestor accordingly).
  • Support production´s team in the analysis of data and management of the data with tools such as paretos, comparison of standard times vs real times, stock deviation analysis, etc., OEE projects, optimization and improvement of manufacturing standard times, etc.
  • Support production’s team to collect and summarize data at different stages of the process. Data may be oriented to quality and/or production areas.
  • Support production steam by improving standard operation procedures or work instructions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Degree or similar of Industrial Engineering (desirable in local universities or within Spain).
  • Ideal to have a candidate that can sustain a conversation in English (mid-level).
  • Driving license and vehicle.
  • If contracted in Spain:
  • Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Support of at least 30 hours/week, within a year.
  • Candidate can simultaneously study and perform internship at GE Vernova
  • Candidate should have following characteristics: analytical, critical, willing to learn, must have positive attitude & ask questions.
  • Strong communication, self-motivational, and customer service skills
  • Handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
