ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Expediter / Executive to support our operations in Qatar. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless expediting and negotiation of procurement orders within the Facility Management and Solar Installation sectors. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional capable of managing complex vendor relationships, resolving supply chain bottlenecks, and driving on-time delivery of materials and services essential to ongoing FM and solar energy projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expedite all open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery, proactively resolving delays with suppliers and vendors across Qatar and the region.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers for FM and solar installation materials and equipment.
Monitor and manage the end-to-end order lifecycle — from PO issuance through delivery, inspection, and goods receipt.
Liaise with internal stakeholders including procurement, project managers, FM operations teams, and finance to align supply chain activities with project milestones.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of order status, supplier performance, and delivery commitments in the ERP/procurement management system.
Identify and escalate critical supply chain risks; develop and execute contingency plans to avoid project disruption.
Build and maintain strong relationships with approved vendor lists (AVL), identifying alternative suppliers to reduce dependency and improve cost efficiency.
Support the procurement team in vendor qualification, RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation activities.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, local content requirements (where applicable), and international trade regulations.
Track and report KPIs including on-time delivery rates, cost savings, and supplier scorecards to management on a regular basis.
Coordinate logistics and customs clearance for imported goods required for solar and FM projects.
Participate in supplier audits and site visits to assess capacity, quality, and reliability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (mandatory).
MBA in Supply Chain Management or equivalent postgraduate qualification (strongly preferred).
Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent are an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or expediting roles.
Demonstrated experience in the Facility Management (FM) sector — managing procurement of FM materials, spare parts, MEP equipment, or maintenance services.
Hands-on experience with solar installation projects, including sourcing of solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and associated BoP materials.
Strong background in vendor negotiation, supplier management, and order expediting in the GCC / Qatar market.
Proven track record of resolving procurement delays, managing escalations, and meeting project deadlines under pressure.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and procurement management platforms.
