About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Excellence Manager to work on major supply chain programs supporting our multinational manufacturing customers. This role combines analytical expertise with operational management, requiring the successful candidate to work closely with both internal stakeholders and directly with the customer. A key focus will be the management of program inventory levels across multi-customer sites, ensuring that stock availability, reorder processes, and demand planning are effectively aligned to customer needs and operational objectives. The successful candidate will facilitate workshops, drive operational improvements, and implement supply chain solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain improvement initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency, process standardization, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing supply chain, available data, and inventory management processes to identify performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional sessions with internal teams and client stakeholders drive continuous improvement and develop actionable solutions.
  • Develop and implement metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance, inventory levels, adjust reorder levels, and track progress against goals.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Support strategic projects, including supplier performance programs, inventory optimization, cost saving roadmaps, new product introduction, and process re-engineering.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate best practices, Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support the rollout of standardised company operating models, systems, and reporting tools across multiple regions and internal/external facilities.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to leadership and client partners.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, operations, or process improvement roles; MRO, industrial supply, or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and measurable improvements.
  • Proven experience facilitating workshops and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical execution mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including client-facing experience, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Detailed knowledge of inventory management principles, including forecasting, replenishment planning, and stock optimisation.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel/analytics tools.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).

Desirable:

  • History dealing with MRO or VMI products such as critical spare parts, cleanroom consumables, PPE, etc.
  • Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
