Supply chain plans and organizes the production and transports the produced material into the warehouses, also called hubs. When material is constrained, meaning there is not enough material to cover all the customer requirements, supply chain defines how the material is allocated between the different customers.
All the information on available material in the hubs, planned future deliveries to the hubs and the allocation to customers is consolidated by the delivery planning team, and is translated into delivery plans per customer and per country. Continued effort is needed to optimize and improve the delivery plans to achieve on time delivery and secure the company revenue. The delivery plans are communicated to the local delivery teams, which are considered to be the 'internal' customers of supply chain. The local delivery teams are then taking care of shipping the material to the final customers. The delivery planner is to be considered as the key interface from supply chain to the internal customers outside of supply chain. The delivery planner is responsible for a group of countries or a region.
We are part of Fixed Networks supply chain, interfacing to our internal customers in delivery&operations and order management, addressing most of the markets around the globe. We share promise dates and support smooth launching of deliveries.
