Job Description

To coordinate/execute the acquisition and delivery of Finished Machines and Attachments to Komatsu America Corp. To perform as liaison between the Delivery side (KAC Stocking Location) and the Supply side (Komatsu subsidiaries) by providing timely and accurate shipping information and expediting purchase orders. Responsible for verifying all international trade compliance laws adhered to in a multi-channel supply chain (abroad factories steamship lines, Custom’s Brokers & KAC stockyard).

To provide distribution shipping support; weights and dimensions required for outbound transport along with arranging transportation for distribution on an as needed basis.

To coordinate the delivery of all CE, SE, UT, Forestry and Forklift equipment delivering into Canada (with a compliance focus).

Key Job Responsibilities

Coordinate all Canadian shipments from the USA; 100% compliance and communication with distribution.

Adhere to all International Trade Laws and regulations (import/export); including but not limited to the maintaining of required filings.

Accurate and timely shipping information; to communicate smoothly with distribution; including shipping configuration weights and dimensions to distribution; to ensure customers have the right trucking equipment to haul the machines they purchase.

Manage all KAC property account equipment movements; high quality service to internal customers with on-time delivery and low cost along with coordinating all port direct shipments including good receipt and revenue recognition activities.

Manage container/air imports for Chattanooga/Newberry Manufacturing to ensure delivery of shipments to keep assembly line moving.

Monitor and keep compliance with the Foreign Trade Zone between KNA, US Customs, and 3rd party software provider.

Reduce costs by reducing customs fees, managing risk of machine delays to stocking location while minimizing KAC costs, and monitoring tariff costs.

Assisting in the implementation of projects and new systems. Lead TMS improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent level of business experience within the supply chain disciplines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills – spoken and written communication.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to accuracy is essential
  • Patience, persistence, follow-up and problem-solving skills are required
