About the Role

The Supply Chain Control Tower Architect is a strategic role responsible for defining, designing, and governing the end‑to‑end architecture of a Supply Chain Control Tower. The role serves as the primary bridge between Supply Chain Operations, Business Leadership, Data & Analytics, and IT/Digital teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into scalable, data‑driven solutions that enable visibility, insight, and decision support across the supply chain.

This position owns the target architecture, long‑term vision, and implementation roadmap for the Supply Chain Control Tower, driving a modular, use‑case‑based rollout that delivers tangible business value while building a sustainable, future‑ready platform. The role plays a critical part in advancing supply chain transparency, analytics maturity, and operational performance at enterprise scale. The position requires influencing senior stakeholders across operations and digital teams , managing external vendors, and navigating organizational complexity to drive measurable impact across the Supply Chain organization of ~100 people, with indirect influence over ~11,000 employees in Operations. A successful candidate will demonstrate innovative thinking to solve unique supply chain challenges, a background in data analytics and ability to define technological requirements,1 strong stakeholder engagement across global teams, and the ability to drive sustainable change at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Define the target picture and long‑term vision for the Supply Chain Control Tower, aligned with overall supply chain strategy and digital transformation objectives
  • Gather and structure business requirements, identify high‑value use cases, and assess feasibility from process, data, and technology perspectives incl. emerging technologies such as AI/ML
  • Translate business needs into end‑to‑end Control Tower architecture, covering data sources, analytics layers, user interfaces, and decision‑support capabilities
  • Define data infrastructure requirements, assess current limitations, and identify improvement options related to data quality, availability, latency, and integration
  • Develop and own a modular implementation roadmap, enabling phased, use‑case‑by‑use‑case deployment while ensuring architectural consistency
  • Coordinate Control Tower implementation with Operations, IT, Data, and Digital teams, ensuring alignment across functions and geographies
  • Define and implement a methodology for user acceptance, usability testing, and adoption, ensuring solutions are intuitive and fit for operational use
  • Establish and maintain architecture governance, design standards, and decision frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and long‑term value
  • Act as a senior thought partner to Supply Chain leadership, providing insights on analytics, visibility, and decision‑support opportunities
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify risks and dependencies early, and drive resolution in collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders

What You Need

  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Informatics or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain/Operations project management, supply chain or digital transformation
  • Recognized technical expertise in project and program management methodologies (PMP, Agile, Lean PMO)
  • Prior experience in Control Tower initiatives, supply chain visibility solutions, data analytics or large‑scale digital programs is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects with substantial impact on business operations
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of business processes, data, analytics, and technology
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems into actionable solutions
  • Solid understanding of data platforms, integration concepts, and analytics enablement (without requiring hands‑on development)
