The Supply Chain Materials and Data Analyst is responsible for monitoring inventory levels and managing the flow of materials within the organization to proper inventory levels and meeting customer demand. This role will also be responsible for responsible for leveraging data analytics, business intelligence, and process optimization methodologies to improve operational performance, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency. This role serves as a key link between Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Sales, and Finance by transforming transactional and operational data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
The position focuses on identifying trends, analyzing process performance, developing reporting solutions, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, elevate performance, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance customer service levels. The analyst will evaluate current transactional processes, recommend improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The individual’s analytical mindset, attention to detail, technical capability, and ability to collaborate and influence across teams will contribute to stronger planning, improved execution, and better business outcomes.
This position may require minor travel to the plant(s) and may require some after normal business hours reviews of production plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis and Decision Support: Analyze historical and forecasted SKU usage, material trends, inventory levels, lead times, and product performance to develop actionable recommendations on stocking strategies, inventory policies, rationalization opportunities, and supply chain performance improvements.
• Metrics, Dashboards, and Tools: Develop, own, and enhance dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reporting tools to support business decision-making. Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful metrics and establish performance benchmarks.
• Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Evaluate current transactional workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities. Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing manual effort, improving data accuracy, and increasing operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management and Strategy: Analyze inventory performance and develop recommendations for inventory targets, stocking levels, safety stock, and material positioning across finished goods, raw materials, and components. Partner with Procurement, Operations, and Production Planning to balance service levels, cost, and working capital.
• Demand Forecasting and Planning Support: Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to understand demand signals, forecasted material needs, new product requirements, and business assumptions. Support forecast accuracy improvement, scenario planning, and data-driven demand/supply alignment.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to coordinate materials, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Communication: Communicate issues, priorities, and regular updates to relevant stakeholders. Keep all teams informed of any changes to materials and address any issues that may arise.
• Master Data & Data Governance: Support master data accuracy, data validation, reporting integrity, and data governance efforts across supply chain systems to improve decision quality and process efficiency.
• Projects: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence, system improvements, automation, and business process transformation. Support implementation of new technologies, reporting capabilities, and process enhancements.

Education and Experience:
• Required:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, business intelligence analytics or other related fields
o 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, data analytics, planning, procurement, logistics, operations, or a related functional area.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other production planning software.
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.


• Preferred:
o APICS certification (CPIM - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management or CSCP – Certified Supply Chain Professional)
o Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
o Experience supporting operational excellence, process improvement, or continuous improvement initiatives.

Working Conditions:

• Plant visit(s) – Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) provided by plants.
• Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
• 40 plus hours per week must be present during these hours to answer inquiries from management, other departments.
o Some evening and weekend work may be required.


Additional Information:
This position typically operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate meetings across time zones or address critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies, including those related to data security, confidentiality, acceptable use of technology, and remote work standards.
Travel up to 15 % may be required for routine travel to facilities, team meetings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, with advance notice provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the company’s travel and expense policy.
