Supply Chain is accountable for defining the endtoend supply chain vision and architecture, enabling business strategy through reliable, efficient, and resilient operations. The area acts as a catalyst for crossfunctional collaboration, removing barriers and ensuring alignment across Commercial, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and external partners.

Supply Chain is accountable for balancing service, cost, and cash, ensuring product availability while supporting sustainable growth and financial performance. The function leads demand and supply planning, inventory management, manufacturing coordination, and distribution execution, translating strategic objectives into operational results.

As an integral part of the broader leadership ecosystem, Supply Chain brings a holistic, endtoend perspective to decisionmaking, contributes to strategic discussions, and ensures that global priorities and initiatives are effectively implemented at regional and local levels, always with a strong customer and patient focus.

As Supply Chain Analytics and Insights Lead, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and driving value through actionable insights throughout the supply chain of our Pharma Business Units across their respective markets and manufacturing networks. The role will be part of a dynamic team that interacts with different stakeholders to maximize value creation across forecasting, customer fulfillment and further use cases. The position requires strong business acumen and growth mindset mentality to drive a constant relationship with cross-functional stakeholders and continuous improvement. This role will further drive the application of cutting-edge technologies (based on Machine Learning and AI) to complex problems to constantly improve the way Bayer does business.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is enabling value creation through actionable insights within supply chain demand management and fulfillment that will derive actionable strategies and tactics for key product networks and markets.
  • Responsible to come up with the hypothesis of changes in market demand profile changes while translating to the data view to support data scientist defining/applying causal factors.
  • Bring country insights corresponding to data sources, including advantages & disadvantages for the incorporation and refinement in the ML models. Further collect and propose additional and new external data sources for increased sophistication and refinement.
  • Bring forward modeling results into country business and forecasting discussions, while ensuring preparation of all relevant business context and scenario questions. Accountable for the KPI monitoring and improvement of model output.
  • Drives adoption rates of modeling approach, while driving improvements by providing data scientists with actionable insights for further enrichment of the inputs that drive the output of the model.
  • Translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations and propose feasible solutions. Communicate concisely using the most appropriate approach for each different stakeholder
  • Work with PS, business and finance stakeholders with a clear vision of the final goals and on the business impact
  • Identify new opportunities and drive application of new use cases by leveraging market insights and trends.
  • Manage and collaborate with onshore and offshore resources, as well as in-house and external consultants & providers.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

Mandatory requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Management Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Business Administration).
  • Related experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including Product Lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience handling and analyzing a wide range of internal and external commercial data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Cegedim, sales data, patient longitudinal data, claims data, distribution, demand, units, and promotion data).
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and impact decision-making, supported by insights and analytics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and market complexity, including different go-to-market models.
  • Strong strategic business acumen, results-oriented mindset, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Language skills: proficiency in English is required.

Desired requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience in epidemiology and/or in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI environments.
  • Proven track record in demand management, customer fulfillment, and end-to-end supply chain.
  • Passion for keeping up with media and technology trends.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
