Business Analyst – Supply Chain Analytics

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 11–15 years

About the Role

KPMG in India is looking for high-energy, analytically strong Business Analysts with hands-on experience in supply chain and manufacturing and a deep interest in digital, data, and AI-enabled transformation This role is ideal for professionals who have worked closely with data systems, AI models, or digital supply chain platforms, and are passionate about shaping next-generation supply chain solutions for global enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Functional Analysis

  • Analyze and document business processes across core supply chain functions: Demand & Supply Planning, S&OP/IBP, Manufacturing, Logistics & Distribution, Procurement, and Inventory Management.

  • Assess current-state processes and identify opportunities for digitization, data-driven improvements, and AI augmentation

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate supply chain challenges into structured problem statements for AI/analytics teams.

Data & AI Product Enablement

  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to design, validate, and operationalize AI/ML use cases in supply chain (forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, digital twins, etc.).

  • Support development of data models, dashboards, and analytical workflows aligned to business needs.

  • Interpret model outputs and support change management for business adoption.

Digital Supply Chain Systems Engagement

  • Work with client teams to integrate insights and AI outputs into digital platforms like: S&OP / IBP suites

  • TMS / WMS / OMS modules

  • ERP Supply Chain modules (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Gather business requirements for enhancements to digital systems and AI-enabled functionalities.

Consulting & Client Delivery

  • Drive workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs with senior stakeholders.

  • Prepare business cases, ROI models, and transformation roadmaps.

  • Contribute to solution design, PoCs, pilots, and full-scale rollouts.

Documentation & Communication

  • Create high-quality business requirement documents, user stories, functional specifications, and process maps.

  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical business teams clearly and effectively.

Data & AI Skills (Preferred)

  • Experience working with data-driven solutions, analytics products, or AI/ML systems.

  • Ability to translate business problems into data/AI requirements.

  • Exposure to KPIs, planning models, statistical forecasting, or optimization preferred.

  • Familiarity with tools/platforms like SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python (basic), or cloud data platforms is a plus.

Consulting Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience in agile delivery environments (writing user stories, sprint planning, acceptance criteria).

  • MBA or post-graduate degree from Tier-1 B-Schools with specialization in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, or Technology.

  • Prior experience in consulting, especially in digital, analytics, or AI advisory.

  • Experience working in or supporting development of AI/ML or data products

  • Certifications in supply chain systems (SAP, Kinaxis, O9, Blue Yonder, etc.) or AI/analytics tools are an advantage.
