About this role
The Supply Chain Analyst for Compressors and Valves will execute contracts in accordance with sourcing goals and acceptable service levels. The role will analyze supplier data and price proposals to ensure acceptable
pricing, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. This is a great opportunity to join the Carrier Supply Chain team!
Key Responsibilities
Participates and provides support for negotiations for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies.
Executes purchasing and / or other commodity management activities.
Manages contracts in accordance with sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.
Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to help determine reasonable prices.
Researches suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
Researches and consolidates buyer/market profiles to ensure database is administered and kept up to date.
Organizes and interprets supplier and spend data.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of supply chain or operations experience
2+ years Excel and PowerPoint experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering or related field
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong MS Office skills including MS Excel - pivots, data analysis.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving.
Experience with Requests for Quote (RFQ)
Understanding of corporate and global business environments.
Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural suppliers on technical and logistics issues
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills
Team player and influencing skills required to establish and sustain a lean culture
