Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for driving cost savings and operational efficiency within warehouse and inventory management functions. This role will focus on optimizing off-site storage costs, maximizing facility space utilization, and streamlining the Return to Vendor (RTV) process. The analyst will leverage data-driven insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain performance and support the company’s growth objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze inventory levels and storage patterns to identify opportunities to reduce off-site storage costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize excess stock.
  • Assess current warehouse layouts and storage practices and recommend and support space utilization improvements, including slotting optimization and racking adjustments.
  • Partner with the Procurement team and vendors to improve shipping and delivery quantities to align with facility requirements.
  • Support projects to transition inventory from off-site storage back to the main facility.
  • Monitor, track and streamline the Return to Vendor (RTV) workflow to ensure timely and accurate returns.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks in the RTV process and implement improvements to recover value from returned goods more efficiently.
  • Coordinate with vendors, Customer Support and Finance to expedite RTV resolutions and minimize financial losses.
  • Maintain and publish regular metrics on storage costs, space utilization and RTV performance.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding space optimization initiatives, storage strategies and RTV status.
  • Train and support team members on new procedures related to inventory optimization and RTV management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Management System Regulation (QMSR), ISO standards and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, warehouse operations or inventory management.
  • Experience with warehouse layout optimization, RTV processes and inventory analysis preferred.
  • DOT Hazardous Materials training preferred.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $53,000 to $82,900 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will depend on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, location, education, business needs and market demand.
