As a Supplies Assistant at our Tees Hospital, you will be a team player with good IT skills. You are capable of working under pressure and you have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a Supplies or a Stores environment is beneficial, but not essential. We can give you training as applicable.

As a Supplies Assistant, you will:

  • Be a proactive member of our small team, having strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when working with data and documentation.

  • Receive, check, label deliveries and distribute supplies and products across the hospital, reporting any shortages and following all required procedures. Duties include lifting and carrying of stock.

  • To ensure orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory and stocking up department stores.

  • Assist in the control and issuing of stock using the appropriate procedures and systems.

  • Support the department during stocktaking.

  • Complete electronic and manual record keeping processes in an accurate and timely manner, to the agreed format and standard.

  • Ability to maintain accurate stock records, investigate stock discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy at all times.

  • Good computer literacy, with confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
