DESCRIPTION

Join our collaborative Procurement team as a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist II with a strong focus on supplier management and supplier relationship activities. In this role, you will support supplier onboarding, governance, performance management and sourcing activities while helping ensure compliant, reliable and cost-effective supplier delivery across the Clinical Research Group.

You will manage assigned supplier activities, support vendor due diligence and onboarding, maintain accurate supplier data, monitor supplier KPIs and service levels, and prepare information for supplier performance and business reviews. You will work closely with stakeholders across Procurement, Quality, Legal, Information Security, Finance and Operations to coordinate supplier-related activities, address risks and ensure timely completion of actions.

The role will also support sourcing strategies, RFx activities, contract and commercial discussions, supplier risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives. As the Supplier Relationship Management model develops, you will take increasing ownership of supplier reporting, dashboards, performance analysis and process improvements, identifying trends, risks and bottlenecks and providing recommendations to support effective supplier management and business decisions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Operations, Quality, Compliance or another regulated environment. Experience within clinical research, pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology environments is preferred.
• Experience with supplier management, ERP and quality management systems, together with reporting and analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Good understanding of the supplier/vendor management lifecycle, governance processes and supplier relationship management principles.
• Experience supporting supplier performance management, including KPIs, service levels, performance trends, scorecards and supplier business reviews.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review supplier data, identify trends, risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Procurement, Quality, Legal, Information Security, Finance and Operations.
• Good project management skills and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Ability to work independently within defined processes, take ownership of assigned activities and escalate complex issues with clear analysis and proposed options.
• Knowledge of regulated frameworks such as GxP, ISO and ICH, together with an understanding of quality management and data privacy requirements, is preferred.
• Knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management practices and continuous improvement principles is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 25%.
