As the Supplier Quality Technical Leader (Mechanical) for our drive, bearing, and fastener commodities, you will serve as the primary technical authority for supplier quality function of this team and driving the team to proactive Supplier Performance Engineering. You will act as the "Architect of Quality," defining standard work, validating measurement protocols, and governing the technical maturity of our supply base. You will provide the technical authority required to ensure our suppliers can scale with our NPI (New Product Introduction) pipeline while ensuring every process is validated, frozen, and digitally integrated into the GE Vernova systems
Integrated Gate Governance: Serve as the primary technical gatekeeper for NPI and production readiness. Validate design-to-process assumptions and exercise the mandate to pause or stop NPI gates when process capability (Cpk) or measurement systems (MSA) are not fully proven.
Systemic Standard Work: Design and implement commodity-specific standard work for APQP, PPAP, and process audits. Ensure these standards are scalable and consistently applied across global supplier sites and SQEs.
Frozen Process Oversight: Enforce "Frozen Process" protocols for mechanical commodities. Ensure all manufacturing, assembly, and inspection parameters are technically validated, documented, and strictly controlled against unauthorized deviation.
Advanced Problem Solving & Reliability: Own the resolution of systemic non-conformances (NCRs). Underwrite the rigor of supplier 8D/3L5W processes, ensuring root cause analysis drives permanent, preventative process changes rather than temporary containment.
Supplier Autonomy & Mentorship: Drive a culture of "Supplier Ownership." Transition our supply base from reactive compliance to autonomous risk management by coaching and certifying suppliers to lead their own PFMEA and risk-mitigation efforts.
Hands-On Operational Support: Serve as a senior technical resource to actively support the SQE team during peak workload periods or critical NPI launches. This includes performing hands-on PPAP validations, executing process audits, and providing direct technical execution on high-risk commodities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
