We are currently hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist in the Issoudun area (France)

This is an entry level position, so we are looking for someone who has an interest in the areas of Supplier Quality and aircraft interiors.

The ideal candidate should have a willingness to learn new technical skills within an experienced team based across Central Europe and be looking to grow into a career within Boeing.

The individual will perform inspections/verifications for compliance with requirements, assist with audits and assessments of suppliers' systems, processes and products.

Hiring details:

  • This position will be site-based, with an expectation for the candidate to work onsite at a Boeing supplier in Issoudun France
  • The selected candidate will need to be willing to flex working arrangements to fit with changing business and supplier requirements.
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
  • This requisition is for a locally hired position in France. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in France. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
  • Relocation assistance could be provided. Candidates must already reside within approximately 30 km of Issoudun (e.g., Bourges, Vierzon, Châteauroux) or relocate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements of various technologies and commodities.
  • Assist with audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes and products to determine compliance with Boeing technical and contractual requirements.
  • Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required; evaluate supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans, review and support of improvement activities.
  • Assist with investigations in support of rejected product, notification of escapements, notices of failure.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Support the education of suppliers on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier; supports the development o f training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
  • Supports regulatory agency audits (FAA).

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • The ability to adapt to changing situations at work due to supplier or business requirements
  • All round communication skills to be able to work with external suppliers, often at a senior level, but to also work effectively within a Boeing team
  • Build relationship with all stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and develop themselves

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):

  • Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written
  • Good communication skills along with the ability to build relationship with customers, suppliers and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Degree in Engineering or other technical disciplines would be preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a quality or engineering role within an aerospace or automotive environment would be preferred but not essential
  • Some knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
  • Basic comprehension of the requirements of ISO9001 and/or AS9100
