Supplier Quality Specialist

The Supplier Quality Specialist ensures that all supplier products, services, and quality management systems meet rigorous purchase contract requirements, software quality standards, and applicable government and regulatory regulations. Based within the Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) quality framework, this role manages vendor performance across component exchange and service programs.

You’ll be responsible for driving continuous improvement, mitigating supply chain risk, and collaborating closely with procurement and program quality teams to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' products and services, quality systems, special processes, meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations (including software quality requirements)
• Manage suppliers that support various component exchange and services programs
• Develops and executes business plans, quality requirements reviews, quality improvement plans all to improve supplier performance.
• Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, partners, suppliers
• Work closely with Supplier Management & Procurement for onboarding of new suppliers and ensuring they are captured in the Boeing supplier management system.
• Review supplier statements of work and purchase contacts to ensure all customer & regulatory requirements are communicated to suppliers.
• Create Product verification plans for Critical/High risk components.
• Manage Supplier raised Notice of Escapes.
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports through to closure and verification.
• BDUK Quality process improvements for ensuring all supplier requirements are captured and assured.
• Partnering with BDUK Programme Quality with regards to new contracts and supplier requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Supplier Quality Assurance experience
• Ability to Gain SC clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Quality Management Systems
• Experience working with a globally diverse team
• Aircraft maintenance experience (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul)
• Working within an aerospace regulated environment and specifically MAA, EASA or CAA
• Supplier Software Quality requirements
• AS9100 lead auditor
• APQP or PPAP experience
• Continuous Improvement or LEAN qualifications
