Job Description

What you’ll do:

"Primary role of Manager Quality Program Management is
1) Responsible to Lead ,Support and Guide team of Quality Program Management Engineers for flawless, accurate and on time completion of projects for Eaton Business groups.
2) Lead a team with focus on related quality activities inline with Prolaunch, ESSP/APQP approach to achieve project deliverables for customers and business.
3) Take lead in expansion, implementation and standardization of the process to all Group/sites in coordination with Cross functional Team - Corporate Supplier Quality PM, Global SQE,SDE, CM and SCM from Business, Global Program Management ,Resiliency Team and Suppliers through transition process
4) Deploy the strategies driven by Global SDQ organization for project execution and governance.

"Process Deployment & Expansion --
1 .Work closely with Global Sourcing team, Category Management , Global PM , DMP and Engineering organizations to achieve SCM goals in Cost out, and supplier performance by executing critical projects.
2. Develop and deploy Quality strategy to achieve strategic objectives and reduce cost through sourcing projects.
3. Identify supplier capability gaps, Plan & Implement to build necessary capabilities to meet Quality Performance and defect free product.
4.5. Develop a strong communication system to get the business engagement to meeting the goals.
6. Manage the team that is the focal point for SQD coordination on transition projects execution
7.Metrics - Accountable for SQD deliverables execution for projects
8.Proactive communication with leaders of plant quality , supplier quality & project lead/category manager for projects execution readiness
9.Ensure GPS and Ariba projects tracking: SOPs, Leadtime, Phases etc.;
10.Connect with SDE/SQE leaders for Project Engagement opportunities.
11.Interact with Category/SCM leaders and project managers to understand if data is accurate, especially on ESSP/Prolaunch/APQP process and Phases;
12.Support team with supplier quality and Development data management
13.Alignment with business leaders for planning and execution of projects
14.Align with PP cost out targets, and SOP defined by Category Managers
15. Align with SQD KPI metrics & role requirement

Resource Management --
16.Engagement in PP planning and opportunity generation / identification.
17.Lead ,Support and Guide QPM team members for successful completion of SDQ deliverables in projects.
18. Develop team aligning to business requirement, development plan, aspiration.
19.Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change.
20. Build inclusive, ethical, transparent culture within team. Empower team by effective delegation, giving accountability and providing learning opportunities.

Adherence to Systems --
21.Ensuring QMS adherence while performing process, completing projects. Following QMS approach while deploying all new processes.
22. Effective monitoring of QMS & operational KPI's. Proactive actions incase there is miss.
23.Identify supplier capability gaps, Plan & Implement to build capabilities to meet Quality Performance and defect free product.

Continual Improvement --
24. Aligning to business priorities , identify the opportunities to reduce NVA's and increase productivity within the team.
25. Benchmarking internal and external process to improve process efficiency and effectiveness also to improve the process maturity.
26. Develop continuous improvement culture within the team.

Qualifications:

BE in (Mechanical , Production, Electrical, Electronics & Industrial Engineering)
1. 14-18 years’ experience in Quality planning and/or Program management, supplier development,
2. Minimum 5 years experience on managing teams.

Skills:

1.Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal / Molding /Machining/ Casting/Forging/Welding/ Electrical & Electronics
2. APQP Project management ,Supplier Quality Program management Techniques and Tools, Strong team Coordination, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering ,Supplier Development Engineering.
3. Expertise in use of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis, Rate readiness & Capacity analysis
4. In depth understanding of special processes, CQI requirements, Supplier Excellence Manual and Quality Core tools -APQP,PPAP,SPC, MSA,PFMEA , Control plan
5. Competent in problem solving, leading problem solving teams, strategic planning and decision making , enabler for cross functional collaboration and alignments
6. Should possess deep knowledge of APQP,DSFR, ESSP, DMR, Change Management and have experience in conducting problem solving / taking actions from suppliers and Internal process owners
7. Strong business acumen for dealing with cross functional domains viz. supplier quality, supply management, Design Engineering, Program management and suppliers along with internal and external customers
8. PMP certification will be preferred
9. Experience in working with global customers & suppliers
10. Certified Six Sigma green Belt would be advantage
11. Certified Quality professional/Manager of Quality from ASQ equivalent body would be an added advantage."
