You act as the key interface between procurement, Knauf plants, R&D and suppliers on all quality-related matters across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region
A strong focus lies on driving corrective and preventive actions to reduce supply chain quality risks, ensuring structured follow-up of supplier claims, and supporting plants in escalation cases
You contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier quality management processes in alignment with Centre of Excellence standards, while also representing the business area’s needs and priorities
Identifying and resolving systemic supplier quality issues, conducting supplier audits and qualifications, and challenging existing material quality standards are key to ensuring the best possible quality for Knauf
In addition, you develop and evaluate suppliers across EMEA, negotiate Quality Assurance Agreements, and train EMEA organization on SQM processes and tools
You hold a university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, mineralogy, mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification, and you bring proven experience in conducting audits
In addition, you bring a strong track record in supplier management, supplier development and quality management, supported by solid knowledge of quality management systems and supplier development processes
You are familiar with problem-solving methodologies and tools such as 8D, 5-Why and Ishikawa, and you quickly understand diverse production processes across chemical, mechanical and mining environments
A strong background in process quality, continuous improvement, project management and communication, combined with a hands-on approach, will enable you to succeed in this role
You are proficient in MS Office and ideally SAP, communicate fluently in English, and are willing to travel up to 30% in order to maintain a strong presence across plants and suppliers in an international and culturally diverse organization
