Job purpose:
Responsible for supplier quality management and quality excellence initiatives for lab, operation feed and reagents. Ensure stable supplier quality performance, compliance with quality standards, continuous improvement and cost efficiency for China plants.
In addition, the role supports early supplier quality risk identification and control during new material introduction, supplier change and process scale-up stages, ensuring robust quality performance in mass production and minimizing potential supply chain quality risks.
Principal accountabilities:
- Manage supplier quality performance for lab, operation feed and reagents.
- Lead supplier qualification, new supplier and new material approval activities.
- Plan and conduct supplier quality audits and follow up corrective actions until closure.
- Handle supplier quality complaints, organize quality meetings and ensure root cause and corrective actions are closed.
- Conduct supplier monthly performance evaluation and annual evaluation together with Purchasing.
- Support quality excellence and incoming quality control for operation materials.
- Identify and drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities related to supplier quality and lab operations.
- Support compliance with IATF16949 and internal quality management system requirements.
- Comply with EHS rules, implement relevant objective.
- Support management team to prepare management review and follow up the corrective actions on time.
Supplier Involvement in NPI / Change Management
- Support supplier quality activities in NPI, including new material approval, trial support and PPAP readiness
- Participate in supplier-related line trial or first article validation to assess potential quality risks
- Support MOC review for supplier changes (material/process/site), including risk assessment and control plan definition
- Define supplier quality checkpoints during trial and scale-up stages
Advanced Problem Solving & Quality Improvement
- Lead structured problem-solving activities (8D, A3, DMAIC) for major supplier quality issues
- Drive root cause validation and effectiveness verification for supplier corrective actions
- Support data analysis (PPM, trend, Pareto) to identify systemic supplier quality risks
- Promote lessons learned and best practice sharing across suppliers
Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
- Own supplier quality performance review with Purchasing and Operations
- Identify high-risk and critical suppliers and develop tailored improvement plans
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key suppliers to ensure transparent and timely quality communication
- Support strategic sourcing decisions from quality perspective
Quality Excellence / System & Culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier quality and laboratory excellence
- Promote quality culture and risk awareness within supplier base
- Support internal quality system improvement related to incoming quality control and supplier management
- Support management review preparation related to supplier quality performance and improvement actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in supplier quality or quality engineering
- Knowledge of IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA
- Problem solving and corrective action leadership capability
- Quality-first mindset

- Data-driven problem solving ability

- Ability to work under pressure and drive actions to closure
