We are looking for a SQE who will be responsible for the supplier management. The role will coordinate with teams from local suppliers to Qingpu Plant. If you possess the requirements we are seeking for, this exciting role is for you!
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Supplier Management and Improvement
a. Key / Monitor supplier management:
b. Overall supplier performance (Lead Time, RDSL, PPM) management and analysis
c. Lead Supplier Continuous Improvement projects
d. Conduct supplier’s trainings if necessary to improve supplier’s performance
e. Proactively provide comparisons and comments on supplier’s quality controls, manufacturing capability and capacity
Commodity Projects Support, including but not limited on NPD, Regionalization, Localization, Supplier Shifts for Risk Mitigation, Cost Savings or Tooling Replacement
a. New and potential suppliers’ audits to understand and assess their quality system to determine if it meets Emerson requirements. Develop and follow up corrective actions or development plans to supplier until meets our objectives.
b.Lead the Internal Pre-Technical and Technical Review with suppliers, to confirm the drawings, specifications, method of measurement and PPAP requirements
c. Conduct FA & Pilot Run, follow with suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Teams and Quality Teams
d. Monitor and improve the performance of awarded suppliers
Daily Work
a. Resolve NCR as soon as possible, least but not limited to communicate with suppliers, coordinate rework, root cause analysis and corrective action plan, improvement and follow up
b. Create SCAR to supplier for following up corrective actions' completions& tracking effectiveness
c. Follow up ECN with suppliers in time
Others
a. Supports on 3rd party audit and certification
b. Supplier on site witness if necessary
c. Proactive looking for improvement opportunities to the suppliers assigned
d.Perform related work as apparent or assigned by team leader
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Metallurgic/Material/Manufacturing is preferred
●At least 5 years quality experience, in supplier management and development is preferred
●Familiar with the manufacture processes and technologies of the commodities, such as Casting, Forging, Machining, Stamping, Springs, Fastener, Molded Rubber, Molded Plastics, Fabrication, Surface Treatment
●Good command of mechanical prints reading: understand mechanical symbol meaning and know inspection methods of the dimensions
●Good command of English (written/oral): can organize and lead the meetings with suppliers and colleagues from other countries, can present the projects in English
Good command of PC: be good at Excel, PowerPoint etc.
●Good communication and project management skill: can conduct Supplier Continuous Improvement projects independently
●Familiar with ISO9001/14000 quality system
●Familiar with QC 7 tools, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC etc.
●Assertive, aggressive, confident, and compressive
●Willing to travel frequently
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
●Flow control industries background is preferred.
●Familiar with industry standards for valves, pressure vessels and mechanical components will be added advantage.
●Presentation skill is preferred.
