This role is critical to ensuring our semiconductor products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate brings strong process knowledge across FEOL and BEOL modules, a proven ability to collaborate with supplier engineering teams, and a passion for driving proactive, data‑driven continuous improvement across a global wafer supply base.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Supplier Quality Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technical quality interface to wafer fabs and foundry partners, ensuring alignment on quality expectations, process capability, and long‑term improvement plans.
  • Develop and execute supplier quality strategies that strengthen front‑end manufacturing performance and reduce risk across the supply chain.
  • Influence supplier leadership and internal stakeholders to prioritize quality, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Wafer Fab Process Oversight
  • Provide deep technical oversight of wafer fabrication processes, including lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, implant, diffusion, and BEOL metallization.
  • Assess supplier process capability, SPC control, equipment stability, and defect management systems to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing.
  • Review and approve process documentation, control plans, PFMEAs, and manufacturing specifications.
Yield, Defect, and Excursion Management
  • Lead complex problem‑solving efforts for systemic supplier issues, excursions, and customer‑impacting defects.
  • Drive rigorous root cause analysis and ensure durable corrective and preventive actions are implemented and verified.
Supplier Audits & Development
  • Conduct in‑depth technical audits focused on wafer fab capability, quality systems, reliability performance, and process maturity.
  • Develop and execute supplier improvement plans that elevate process capability, yield, and defect performance.
  • Mentor suppliers on quality methodologies, reliability expectations, and advanced process control.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Drive improvement initiatives that elevate supplier capability and reduce variability.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve wafer quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, supplier quality, process engineering, or foundry management.
  • Deep technical knowledge of FEOL and BEOL processes, inline metrology, defect inspection, and yield engineering.
  • Proven experience directly interfacing with wafer fabs or foundries and driving supplier‑level corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of SPC, DOE, FMEA, MSA, 8D, and other quality and reliability methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret wafer maps, defect paretos, SPC charts, inline data, and reliability results.
