We are looking for Supplier Quality Engineer

You’ll make a difference by

• Lead supplier development strategy and design KPIs for supplier performance
• Carry out supplier validation and verification audits
• Carry out supplier’s Welding/Quality inspections and necessary approvals
• Mentor/Guide/Support supplier on Quality/Welding /Special processes during the development or series stage
• Responsible for supporting initial sample testing with the aim of releasing the product and the manufacturing and testing process. They are also responsible for the planning, preparation and implementation of the Product on Trial Run and a preventive inspection.
• Support purchasing team in supplier finalization by scrutinizing supplier processes and EHS standards
• Support in preparing RCA and corrective / preventive action processes of supplier quality issues / Ascertain effective implementation of CAPA
• Support in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities within supply chain
• Promote use of techniques of continuous improvement e.g. lean, six sigma, FMEA etc.
• Monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance topics and whether there is any commercial impact on account of that
• Regular visits to supplier manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance to quality norms
• Ensure adherence with applicable quality management system
• Keep up with latest trends in engineering and manufacturing concerning product quality
• Conduct benchmark studies
• Support during customer inspections, if required
• Use your skills to move the world forward.

Desired Skills:

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
• Should have at least 5-8 years’ experience in supplier quality management, preferably in Rolling Stock
• Should have experience with the requirements of quality systems (ISO 9001. IRIS and similar) and in the application of quality methods and analysis tools. such as APQP in the manufacturing or product development process.8D, FMEA. Root -Cause Analysis.
• Should have experience of working in intercultural environment
• Welding certifications like (IWE, IWT, CSWIP,) will be added advantage
• Certifications of EN-9712 level 2 (UT, PT,VT) will be added advantage
• Must have certifications of Visual Testing (Level-2) as per EN-9712 or ASNT.
• Should be proficient in English and Hindi.
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in using Microsoft office suite and administrative applications
