About the role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring supplier quality, product compliance, and manufacturing excellence. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction by driving supplier performance, resolving quality issues, and enabling continuous improvement across the supply base. You will collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure robust processes, compliant products, and sustainable quality results.

Key Responsibilities

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Executing supplier qualification and certification processes, including supplier assessment, performance monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution.

  • Reviewing and analyzing supplier quality data to support part- and supplier-specific corrective action plans.

  • Performing and supporting root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities within quality containment and escape management processes.

  • Recommending and supporting corrective and preventive actions to address systemic process and product design issues related to supplier-provided products.

  • Executing supplier quality processes such as source inspection, material release, and participation in Corrective Action Boards (CABs) or DQ Clinics with suppliers.

  • Supporting supplier development initiatives to drive continuous improvement, performance sustainability, and long-term quality maturity.

  • Reviewing supplier processes and metrics to ensure readiness for work transfer, resourcing gates, and process change management, including PPAP / UPPAP approvals.

  • Acting as an on-site Supplier Quality representative when required to support containment, root cause analysis, and resolution of quality issues at supplier facilities.

  • Leading or influencing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality objectives.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, collaborative, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong passion for quality and continuous improvement. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

As a minimum you must have:

  • University degree or equivalent, providing theoretical to advanced technical knowledge combined with practical experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Practical knowledge of organizational quality systems, programs, and processes, with the ability to leverage and improve them in daily operations.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with PPAP / UPPAP and supplier part qualification.

  • Hands-on experience with PSW approval and dimensional validation of components.

  • Strong problem-solving skills using Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving tools: 8D, A3, Red-X, 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, Ishikawa (Fishbone).
