Position Summary
The Supplier Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating supplier quality activities, maintaining supplier quality records, supporting supplier performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and internal quality management system procedures.
This role serves as the administrative and operational backbone of the Supplier Quality organization by managing supplier documentation, supplier corrective action tracking, supplier performance metrics, source inspection activities, supplier onboarding requirements, and supplier quality data. The Supplier Quality Coordinator works closely with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Receiving Inspection, and external suppliers to ensure purchased products conform to requirements and supplier-related risks are effectively managed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Supplier Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100, customer, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Maintains Approved Supplier List (ASL) records, supplier qualification files, supplier certifications, supplier risk assessments, and supplier approval documentation to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
- Coordinates supplier onboarding, qualification, requalification, and development activities, ensuring suppliers meet quality system, process capability, and performance requirements.
- Reviews, approves, and rejects supplier quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), certifications, inspection reports, and other supplier deliverables to verify compliance with applicable requirements.
- Administers Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), supplier containment activities, and corrective action programs by tracking response timelines, implementation status, effectiveness verification, and closure activities.
- Develops, maintains, and reports supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and risk indicators, providing visibility into supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall business performance.
- Monitors supplier quality trends, recurring nonconformances, supplier escapes, and emerging risks; escalates issues to Supplier Quality Engineering and Quality Leadership while supporting structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supports resolution of supplier-related material shortages, quality escapes, nonconforming material events, and production-impacting quality issues through cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Receiving Inspection, and Operations.
- Maintains supplier quality records and documentation within quality management systems, ERP systems, and related business platforms in accordance with AS9100 record retention and traceability requirements.
- Supports internal, supplier, customer, and third-party audits, including audit preparation, execution support, corrective action follow-up, and verification of compliance activities.
- Actively monitors Material Review Board (MRB) inventory and disposition activities, helping minimize financial exposure, backlog aging, inventory risk, and production disruptions.
- Facilitates effective communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders while maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring timely resolution of quality-related issues.
- Engages regularly with internal and external stakeholders, exercising sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to quality risk management within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality and or Supply Chain Management
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, spreadsheets)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Clear communication and ability to work cross-functionally
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Work performed in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance
- Frequent use of carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
