Job Description

About the role

This is a 12 month max term contract

This is a great opportunity to join BOQ’s Supplier Management team, supporting the Supplier Management Lead in strengthening relationships with our Material Service Providers (MSPs) and ensuring compliance with APRA CPS 230. Working across the business, you will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage the full supplier lifecycle, from onboarding and contract governance through to ongoing performance monitoring and risk management. You will act as a trusted advisor on supplier management and procurement standards, helping the business navigate regulatory requirements while ensuring supplier services align with strategic and operational objectives.

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining robust supplier governance practices. You will coordinate supplier onboarding activities, conduct due diligence and risk assessments, support incident management and issue escalation, and oversee supplier supervision and monitoring programs. Working closely with business, risk, legal, cybersecurity, procurement and compliance teams, you will help ensure supplier arrangements meet BOQ’s operational, regulatory and technology standards, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and minimise risk.

You will also contribute to BOQ’s broader CPS 230 compliance framework by supporting annual supplier reviews, completing supplier scorecards, tracking remediation activities, facilitating governance meetings and monitoring supplier performance against agreed standards. The role provides exposure to operational resilience activities, including control testing, tolerance level development and scenario testing, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships while operating in a highly regulated and risk-focused environment.

About You

You are a proactive and relationship-focused professional with demonstrated experience in supplier management, procurement, contract administration, or a related discipline. You have a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks and are confident building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your outstanding communication skills enable you to influence outcomes, navigate complex discussions, and collaborate effectively across business, risk, legal, compliance, and supplier teams. With a keen eye for detail, you are committed to maintaining high standards of compliance while delivering practical and commercially sound solutions.

You bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, allowing you to assess risks, manage competing priorities, and drive issues through to resolution. Well organised and highly accountable, you can balance multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded, along with experience working within a regulated industry such as financial services. Most importantly, you are someone who enjoys partnering with others, continually improving processes, and contributing to a culture of strong supplier governance and operational resilience.
