Within Procurement Operations, Supplier Management—particularly the screening and selection of new external suppliers—is a critical process for compliance and risk mitigation. As we standardize procurement across the Rakuten Group, strengthening our Supplier Management organization is essential. We are seeking a highly responsible individual to lead supplier screening and related tasks, contributing to a robust and compliant procurement ecosystem.

Work Environment

- Procurement Operations Department: Approximately 80 members.
- Purchasing Operations Section (within the department): Approximately 30 members.
*The Procurement Operations Department is currently undergoing expansion and strengthening of its organization in line with the group-wide standardization of procurement operations.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Procurement Experience: At least 2 years of experience in procurement operations.
*While supplier screening experience is not mandatory, a solid understanding and experience across general procurement operations are essential.
- Supplier Screening Experience (Plus): Experience in supplier screening is a strong advantage.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate smoothly and effectively with internal business units (procurement requesting departments) and outsourced staff.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Ability to adopt a user-centric perspective and continuously drive PDCA cycles for existing operations.
