The Boeing Global Services Government (BGS-G) Supplier Management Team has an opportunity for a Supplier Management Manager (Level K) positions within our organization supporting our Top Tier Contracting team. The selected candidate will be located in Hazelwood, MO

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and coordination of a BGS-G Top Tier team. Responsibilities include terms and conditions, schedule adherence, and relationship building with several major Supplier partners.

  • Post Award Supplier Performance - Oversight and coordination of Supplier Performance Management as well as open order management and Customer alignment for Transactional procurement for all BGS-G demands and customers.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

  • Provide subcontract support, supplier delivery performance and support for all program objectives.

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier- related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

  • Coordinates with the larger BGS-G Supply Chain team (Forecasting, Planning, Order Execution) on proposal requirements, execution requirements and keeping programs and stakeholders informed on supplier status, issues, risks and opportunities.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • The identification and implementation of continuous improvement processes is also expected.

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.

  • Hold extensive knowledge of Supplier Management processes and procedures.

  • Direct experience working with a variety of subcontract types under DoD prime contracts.

  • Excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills are required.

  • Occasional travel to other Boeing sites, Customer and suppliers (<10%).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or format manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

  • 5+ years of Supplier Relationship Management (Experience managing supplier relationships.)

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Experience with Government procurement procedures and requirements (FARs/DFARs)

  • Complex negotiation experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills

  • Solid business acumen, teaming, and excellent stakeholder communication and empathy
