*This position will be remote based (work from home) in the within the Midwest, USA area. The position will require frequent travel within the Midwest, USA area and therefore the selected candidate must live in this region.
What You Will Do
Pratt and Whitney, Midwest Regional Office is looking for a Supplier Development Lead who will drive operational excellence and process compliance within the supply base through on site visits and assessments. You will help key suppliers in the resolution of significant issues that are likely to have a business-wide impact by working cross functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Operations leadership. In addition, you will coordinate and resolve company/department wide risks/obstacles to ensure manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery schedules are aligned with customer needs. You will also be responsible for reporting key suppliers’ progress to operational initiatives at executive reviews with senior level leadership, both internal and external.
Drives improvement of on time delivery and quality performance at multiple suppliers.
Develop and drive quality improvement plans. Coordinates root cause identification and corrective actions.
Leads onsite assessments with Buyers, Quality, and Engineering teams to drive overall supplier improvement.
Identifies and removes significant barriers to the implementation of CI for suppliers to improve on-time delivery and quality.
Evaluates key supplier performance and apply sustainable counter measures and actions to facilitate improvement.
Directs production readiness assessments for New Product Introduction and rate increases, including capacity confirmation to ensure a timely ramp-up to production volumes with a business wide impact.
Oversee the monitoring of critical business wide metrics and the coordination of cross-functional work teams to significantly increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Engages the senior management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate major improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
Plans, organizes, directs and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance.
Evaluates supplier performance, management, capacity and production readiness.
Assesses supplier qualifications including training and certifications.
Elaborates supplier development plans and works in collaboration with the supplier to ensure best performance is achieved.
Must be able to travel up to 80% of your time within the Midwest, USA area
On-site at suppliers 80% of your time
20% of the time working from home office
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors Degree in Supply chain, Business Management, or related field and 8 years of experience in Operations, Quality, and/or Continuous Improvement roles; or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience.

Reside within the Midwest, USA area (IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH SD, WI)
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with strong structured project management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to initiate, lead and sustain change activities at the suppliers.
CORE Professional (Any track).
Six-Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt or LEAN certificate.
RTX SHA certified assessor.
ITC experience.
SAP experience using Procurement and Quality transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
