In this role you will identify and assess new suppliers to support Woodward commodity strategy for Industrial business. This might include training and developing suppliers to meets Woodward technical requirements, providing technical and quality direction to the supply base in direct support of the production and contractual requirements of the organization, managing supplier APQP activities for new Product Launch or Part Transition Projects in compliance with internal procedures.
Lead Global Sourcing supplier assessment process activities to evaluate whether a potential new supplier meets Woodward and our customers requirements;
Interacts with cross functional teams (Sourcing/ Quality/ Engineering/ New Product group) to identify and mitigate supplier capability / capacity / system gaps determined through supplier assessment activities;
Ensures that potential suppliers understand quality and product requirements. Reviews drawings, specifications, and other product specific requirements to ensure that supplier understands and complies with all requirements through onboarding activities;
Leads multiple projects while implementing development plans with key suppliers to support global commodity strategies;
Leads SPIP (Supplier Performance Improvement Program) activities to drive QDRC (quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost) improvements for the mutual benefit of Woodward and the supplier;
Serves as quality systems and supplier development escalation point of contact within commodity teams;
VAVE : supports site and commodity teams with cost reductions activity;
Expert in building and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and performance. Skilled in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing and supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Proficient in interpreting complex data sets to inform decisionmaking and drive strategic supplier development initiatives.
Technical Problem Solving: Adept at identifying root causes of technical issues and implementing effective solutions using engineering principles.
Knowledgeable in quality control standards and methodologies to ensure supplier products meet company and industry specifications
Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed technical documents, reports, and specifications to support supplier development efforts.
Ability to lead audits
Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written in a global environment
Understanding of applicable quality and manufacturing processes across Industrial Businesses
Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis and Lean Manufacturing Concepts
Other Qualifications: Root Cause Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, APQP and PPAP elements (i.e. PRR, MSA, FMEA, Capability Studies, etc.), AS9100, ISO-9000:2000
Polish and English language skills
