Role and Responsibilities

1. Provide academic support to qualifying students
2. Act as substitute teacher when required
3. Assist students at arrival and dismissal
4. Assist teacher with large and small group activities
5. Assist with proctoring of tests and assessments
6. Maintain logs as directed by supervisor
7. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. High School Diploma
2. Must meet the Highly Qualified Standards for Paraprofessionals as defined by No Child Left Behind
3. Minimum of 60 credit hours or associate's degree from accredited college.
4. Passing score on state approved assessment.
5. Previous experience working with school aged children in an educational setting preferred.
6. Ability to obtain substitute permit under MCL

Terms of Employment

Scheduled to work each day that students are assigned to attend class. Schedule to be determined by District calendar. This is contracted position. Hired through EDUSTAFF.
