Your Impact
As a Supplement Editor I, you’ll help ensure municipal legislative material is accurately interpreted, organized, and presented in a clear, unified format for both online and print publication. This role supports local government clients by editing legal content for accuracy and consistency, maintaining high quality standards, and helping deliver reliable information in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What you’ll do

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Edit legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and style.
  • Interpret legislative material and determine appropriate placement within a unified document.
  • Prepare and present legal information in an organized outline format.
  • Use web coding and authoring systems, including HTML and XML, to format legal text for final presentation in print and online.
  • Apply problem-solving and independent judgment to make informed decisions regarding municipal law.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate connections between clients and other departments to support satisfaction with current products and coordinate additional product opportunities.
  • Actively participate in departmental and team meetings.
  • Meet or exceed productivity metrics, quality standards, and team expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in proofreading or a similar role.
  • Proficient computer and communication skills.
  • Strong writing, technical editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technical subject matter quickly.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word is required.
  • Experience with web coding and authoring systems such as HTML/XML and Adobe InDesign is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

  • Estimated Salary Grade Range: $15.38 -20.28
    • Anticipated hiring range: $17.50-18.50
    • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
