Job Description

* Oversee the daily deployment, routing, and scheduling of the Home Delivery fleet to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize turnaround times.

* Monitor fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and overall vehicle uptime.

* Manage operational budgets and track expenses (in AED) related to fleet maintenance, fuel, and third-party logistics.

* Supervise the loading, dispatch, and real-time tracking of home delivery teams, ensuring adherence to delivery windows and service level agreements (SLAs).

* Coordinate closely with warehouse management and inventory control teams to prevent stock discrepancies and delivery delays.

* Implement and enforce strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product handling, transit safety, and on-site furniture assembly.

* Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of delivery drivers, helpers, and assembly technicians, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

* Conduct regular performance reviews and address training gaps, particularly regarding customer service etiquette and safe handling of fragile goods.

* Act as the primary escalation point for delivery issues, delayed shipments, or customer complaints regarding damaged goods or assembly quality.

* Analyze customer feedback data to identify recurring operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

* On-Time In-Full (OTIF): Achieving and maintaining a >95% target for on-time customer deliveries.

* Cost per Delivery: Optimizing routes and resource allocation to keep delivery costs within budgetary targets.

* Customer Satisfaction (CSAT / NPS): Enhancing post-delivery customer ratings regarding delivery professionalism and assembly quality.

* Fleet Utilization: Maximizing vehicle capacity and minimizing idle time or unscheduled maintenance.

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (an MBA with a focus on Operations or Supply Chain is highly advantageous).

* Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or last-mile delivery supervision, preferably within the large-format retail, furniture, or e-commerce sectors in the GCC.

* Last-Mile Logistics Expertise: Proven experience handling high-volume home deliveries and managing specialized on-site assembly operations (e.g., flat-pack furniture).

* Systems & Technology: Proficiency in Last-Mile Delivery Software, Fleet Management Systems (FMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or customized logistics modules).

* Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logistics KPIs (e.g., Delivery-on-Time, Cost per Delivery, Net Promoter Score) to drive efficiency.

* Problem-Solving: A calm under pressure mindset, capable of resolving real-time route disruptions or customer complaints swiftly.

* Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage a culturally diverse frontline workforce and communicate effectively with corporate stakeholders.
