Location: Vacaville, California

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Within the Vacaville Supply Chain organization, the Supervisor for Weigh and Kitting manages a shift of direct reports who are responsible for executing weigh/kitting operations in support of Lonza Vacaville manufacturing operations. The Supervisor will ensure that the team is trained, capable and meets current and future customer demand in a safe, high quality, compliant, reliable and cost-effective manner. The leader will promote values and leadership commitments within the group and will develop their direct reports to achieve the same.

What you will do

• Foster an engaging, safe, and high-performing work environment for Weigh and Kitting staff while meeting delivery, compliance, and cost targets.
• Lead, coach, develop, and mentor direct reports, including the execution of effective workforce planning to support operational demands.
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a high level of process quality.
• Supervise the generation of process GMP documentation and maintain the work area in strict compliance with GMP standards.
• Direct the execution of GMP material handling and kitting business processes to consistently meet agreed-upon service levels.
• Lead and participate in departmental, site, regional, and global audits, inspections, and cross-functional teams as the operational representative.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and align departmental decisions with broader site and global goals.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life/physical Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain or other relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cGMP, regulated, aseptic, or bioprocessing environment, including at least 1 year of direct employee management experience.
• Thorough understanding of large-scale cGMP warehouse and manufacturing environments, material management, and kitting operations.
• Practical experience utilizing SAP and supply chain or logistics processes.
• Proven ability in goal setting, driving results, staff development, and sound, collaborative decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving skills, training aptitude, and systems expertise.
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional team-building capabilities.
