Job Description

Logistics Supervisor for CV Brasil, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager is responsible for managing warehouse and delivery operations, inventory stocking and control and packaging or labeling activities as required

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Development of continuous project improvement and innovations, including KPI´s creation and monitoring

  • Lead a team to provide high-quality of service to internal and external customers

  • Coach and mentor team members to improve their knowledge, skills, and performance

  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to team members to help them to achieve their goals

  • Ensure that team members follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and smooth operations, including appropriate RAQA requirements

  • If appropriate manages 3rd-party logistics service provider relationships effectively and drives continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives for warehousing and delivery operations

  • Collaborate with other departments to solve customer´s issues and improve customer satisfaction index

  • Support the logistics manager in managing the department and achieving departmental goals

  • Ensure timely completion of month-end closing operations and support sales growth

  • Conduct regular meetings with the team to review performance, discuss challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Inventory management according to Demand Planning and Import Coordination

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy

  • Maintain the control of inbound, cycle counting and outbound activities

  • Work effectively with the General Manager and the Marketing area so that the business objectives are clearly understood

  • Responsible for the accuracy and financial precision of the inventory.

  • Responsible for identifying, negotiating, contracting, and monitoring services and materials for storage and distribution activities.

  • If appropriate manages 3rd-party logistics service provider relationships effectively and drives continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives for warehousing and delivery operations

Travel:

Availability for domestic and international travel.

As needed up to 5% to gain understanding of global site operations and creating relationships.

Work Environment:

  • CooperVision Brazil Distribution Center
  • Warehouse / Distribution Center environment
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 Kilograms
  • Sometimes spend a long time standing

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid knowledge in Logistics and Distribution

  • Leadership and motivational skills

  • Strong communication - both written and verbal, and problem-solving skills

  • Negotiation familiarity

  • Budget, forecasting and planning experience

  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

  • Availability for travel

  • Experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry(desirable)
  • Management of ERP, WMS and Proficient in the use of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Dedicated, Partner, Inventive, Friendly
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Intermediate level in English language (advanced preferred). Spanish is a plus

Experience:

  • Knowledge of international shipping and export shipping requirements
  • 3+ years progressive management experience in a distribution, logistics and or supply chain.
  • 1+ years’ experience handling Medical Devices or pharmaceutical products (Desirable)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics or Related Engineering
