What You Will Do
The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective management of incoming shipments and merchandise for Freshpet’s warehouses. This role oversees the receiving department in a warehouse or other distribution center. This role also involves managing staff, ensuring that all incoming items are properly checked in and stored, and tracking the accuracy of shipments. This position may also be responsible for scheduling team members and maintaining an organized work environment.
How You Will Make an Impact
• Supervising shipping and receiving
• Match deliveries to Purchase Orders
• Bar code tagging and recording of assets and their movements
• Supervises normal shipping, receiving and/or packing operations which may include supervising the counting, weighing, and identifying of items
• Ensures that the duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood
• Maintains metrics and visual boards in the work area
• Comfortability performing duties in a cold environment
• Oversee and ensure that incoming merchandise is processed accurately verifying that all shipments arrive secure and complete
• Verify that proper documentation accompanies all customer mail-outs, send lip, sales receipt and tissue
What You Will Bring
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Bachelor’s Degree proffered or equivalent experience
