Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Supervisor – Energy Distribution to join our Auckland team, delivering primarily underground works across the Vector network,

In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising HV and LV field crews, subcontractors, plant and equipment, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:

• Lead day-to-day field operations across construction, maintenance and fault response work
• Plan and schedule work programmes to optimise resources and meet delivery targets
• Provide technical leadership, including HV/LV live work practices
• Monitor site performance, quality, productivity and commercial outcomes
• Identify risks, manage variations and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Build strong relationships with Vector and other key stakeholders
  

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering critical infrastructure while developing your team and driving performance on site.

You’re an experienced and credible leader with a strong technical background in electricity distribution and a passion for safe, high-quality delivery. Confident to lead crews and supervise field operations, you will be well equipped to mentor, and develop crews to support upcoming industry growth.

You’ll bring:

• Line Mechanic registration and current EWRB practising licence
• Glove & Barrier (G&B) qualification
• National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Level 4)
• Strong knowledge of SMEI and HV/LV safe work practices
• Demonstrated experience leading crews and supervising field operations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence
