Underground Mobile Maintenance Supervisor

Are you passionate about underground mining maintenance and equipment reliability? If you are an experienced maintenance professional and leader who excels in team supervision, troubleshooting, and operational coordination, we want you on our team!

As Underground Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of underground maintenance activities. You will lead crews and contractors while overseeing maintenance of mobile and fixed equipment, ensuring compliance with Ontario mining regulations and company standards. Working closely with operations, planning, and engineering teams, you will drive reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe underground environment.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Compliance: Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OHSA, Regulation 854, and site safety policies; conduct inspections, JSAs, and incident investigations.

Supervision & Execution: Supervise underground trades personnel and contractors, assign work, manage priorities, and ensure safe and efficient task execution.

Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on underground equipment, including mobile fleet, fixed systems, and infrastructure

Planning & Reporting: Support maintenance planning and scheduling, ensure accurate CMMS work order completion, and communicate equipment status and risks.

Training & Workforce Development: Ensure workforce competency, support onboarding, and identify training and development needs.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5–10 years of experience in underground mining or heavy industrial maintenance.
  • Proven experience supervising or leading maintenance teams.
  • Red Seal Journeyperson certification (preferred) and Ontario Underground Common Core (required)
  • Strong knowledge of underground mobile and fixed equipment, electrical and/or mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and hazard identification
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Understanding of Ontario mining regulations and experience in unionized environments (asset).

Salary Range: CAD [$98,600-$147,900]

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
