Supervisor – Transportation | Lead National Logistics for Live Events

💼 Salary Range: 54,678 to 65,878 per year
LMG delivers audio, video, lighting, and broadcast solutions for major events and productions across the country. Our transportation team plays a critical role in moving equipment safely, efficiently, and on schedule. We are seeking a Supervisor – Transportation to support and coordinate national freight logistics, vendor communication, and operational execution for ground and air shipments.
This position is ideal for someone who excels in logistics, thrives in a fast paced environment, and enjoys managing the flow of complex operations.
National Freight Coordination
• Plan and execute logistics for dedicated out of state truckload shipments
• Assist with international, customs, and carnet shipments
• Track inbound and outbound freight and communicate updates across departments
• Provide timely freight quotes and support Show Services with issue resolution
Vendor and Carrier Management
• Support vendor relationships to maintain competitive rates and quality service
• Maintain and distribute carrier capabilities, rate charts, and cost information
• Assist with investigations into vendor service failures, equipment damage, or delayed deliveries
Operational Support
• Support operational needs during and outside of regular business hours as required
• Assist internal departments with freight quoting, coordination, and execution
• Process transportation related purchase orders and communicate with Accounts Payable
Department Leadership and Safety
• Mentor team members and promote professional teamwork
• Support company safety initiatives and equipment protection procedures
• Assist with warehouse operations as directed by leadership
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of experience in transportation coordination or intermodal freight services
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage urgent requests and shifting priorities
