The Supervisor is responsible for the direct operation of the City's family transitional housing, including the provision of offsite services. Responsible for the delivery of the most effective services possible to the families who are clients of the Transitional Housing & Offsite Services; that is, to help them stabilize their situations and move to permanent accommodation well connected to essential resources. Supervise and lead the shelter case worker team in the delivery of case management services to clients, and the shelter support worker team in supporting and assisting clients who are residing at the family transitional site. Collaborate with other City service areas, community partners, community service agencies and hotels who provide services or accommodations to clients. Ensuring that family residential services are part of the community services system. Clients are to receive services in a well maintained, safe and secure environment with qualified staff.
Completion of 3 year university degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in social services work; 3 years supervisory experience in social services, health, residential services or other related field
