Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for supervising receiving, inventory, and distribution operations while ensuring inventory support for all serviced departments. The role oversees inventory management, supply distribution, customer service, and staff leadership within the Supply Chain department. The position reports to the Materials Manager at Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC).

Required Experience

  • Prior management experience in a unionized environment.
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Computer & Equipment Skills

  • Microsoft Office Applications (preferred).
  • Pallet Jack operation (required).
  • Hi-Low Jack operation (required).

Core Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory and par levels across all areas using available resources, technology, reporting tools, analysis, and user feedback.
  • Manage inventory levels in storerooms, par locations, and storage areas to achieve optimal inventory turns and accuracy.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
  • Manage par locations based on usage reports, nursing requests, and staff feedback.

Operations & Distribution

  • Provide leadership for receiving, distribution, and replenishment services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service in supply chain operations.
  • Lead staff in the delivery of supplies and equipment to patient care areas.
  • Assist employees with processing all inventory transactions, including receiving reports, invoices, and stock issues in inventory systems.

Leadership & Management

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with staff and serviced departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Align departmental goals and objectives with organizational needs and customer requirements.
  • Assist the Materials Manager in leading an effective and efficient department.
  • Supervise and guide employees in daily operations and service delivery.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other departments.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of changes, developments, and operational updates through meetings, emails, discussions, and other communication methods.
  • Promote positive working relationships across departments.

Customer Service & Organizational Support

  • Support departmental and organizational goals by ensuring supply availability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and patient care areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 (TEMPORARY)
