GENERAL SUMMARY The Social Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of Medical Social Workers & Medical Caseworkers, ensuring compliance across departments with workflows, audits, referrals, and resources processes. Assist in developing, updating, and implementing policies, onboarding processes, interns and apprenticeship needs, and applications while reviewing procedures that govern the operations of the Social Work and Resource Center. The Social Service Supervisor will develop and refine programs within the social work and resource center, aimed at improving patient care, service delivery, and overall department efficiency. This role will collaborate with other leaders, medical providers, and administrative staff to ensure and enhance patient care and service delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for creating, evaluating, leading, and supervising role-specific duties for Social Workers and Medical Caseworkers.· Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI); gather and report CQI data to the appropriate personnel.· Support quality and fiscal goals for the department and facility.· Assist in the process of annual budgets within the area of responsibility; review the budget with the immediate supervisor and group practice manager; monitor budgetary compliance regularly to forecast future problems; assist in developing strategies to address fiscal issues.· Assist in crafting departmental policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed, especially those related to patient care and safety.· Build and maintain working relationships with a network of interdisciplinary teams within CGMHSA and the community.· Participates in special projects to support the operations of the organization, and perform other duties assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS · Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.· Five years of Social Worker experience; preferred with three years of experience in Social work leadership or management.· This role may require the use of a personal vehicle or operating the company vehicle. Access to reliable personal transportation with a valid driver's license and auto insurance required. Auto insurance must include: $100,000 of bodily injury per person; $300,000 per accident for bodily injury liability; and $100,000 per accident for property damage liability.CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS, ETC. · Currently licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Licensed Bachelors Social Worker (LBSW) by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners. WORK ENVIRONMENTThis on-site role may require lifting up to 50lbs, and typically is located at a desk, with occasional walking, standing, or sitting/stopping.This role will require maintaining a budget and purchasing supplies for the department and will have access to sensitive data.This role may operate a company vehicle. PAY RANGE$57,948.80-94,140.80 annually
